    20. Avoid Retin-A, chemical peels, injectable fillers or Botox 2 weeks prior to treatment.

  7. You may take Arnica montana prior to treatment as directed.

  9. If you have open cuts, wounds, abrasions or active acne or cold sores breakouts, we cannot perform the procedure.

  10. Eat a healthy diet, whole food vitamins and daily omega 3 fish oil. It is also advisable to take 1000 mg of vitamin C and 2000 iu. of vitamin D3. This ensures an increase in vitamins internally and externally and will greatly aid in the healing process.

  11. Drink 8 glasses of water per day for the days preceding your treatment.

Microneedling Post-Treatment Instructions

  1. Your skin will be red today after your treatment, generally lasting 12 to 24 hours. You can use aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, or the provided serum to reduce redness or discomfort.

  2. Use only the serum provided (or recommended) by your practitioner for at least three days following your procedure. You are encouraged to utilize the provided serum until it is gone.

  3. Stay out of the sun on the day of your treatment. Use mineral sunscreen for one week after Microneedling.

  4. No exercise today. Avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot baths or showers until redness is gone. Sweat can irritate the skin.

  5. No make up today or 12 hours following your treatment. It is recommended to avoid make up for 72 hours after treatment.

  6. Do not use facial soap today. You can wash your skin with warm water today.

  7. Use hyaluronic acid when you feel dry and before bed tonight. Hyaluronic acid will often flake after drying on the skin.

  8. If you have pain after treatment, it is recommended to use arnica montana. This regimen can be started the day before treatment.

  9. Drink plenty of water today and over the next week. Hydration is an important part of the healing and rejuvenation process. New cell regeneration requires at least 6-8 8 ounce glasses of water a day (if you already drink this much, increase your intake by 2 glasses).

  10. Avoid waxing, facials, botox, injectable fillers or any other skin care treatment two weeks after treatment.

  11. If skin becomes painful, swollen, red or inflamed, please notify us immediately.

Recommendations

  1. Collagen supplements can be helpful for healing. You can drink collagen water, take powdered supplements, or pills. Liquid collagen has been proven to be more effective, though all forms are impactful.

  2. Eat well. The healing of your skin is best supported by whole, fresh foods. Increase your consumption of fruits and vegetables and opt for organic wherever possible.

  3. Hydrate!! It’s worth saying again.
